Original hardwood floors were refinished, room is painted Monorail Silver by Sherwin Williams:

Alex's room is painted Nomadic Desert by Sherwin Williams, a $50 chandelier I customized with fabric lampshades and cord cover



A record of our remodel

I'm also putting together a coffee table book of the complete remodel, this way we have an album of the entire project. I love making gifts and memorabilia on Shuttefly.com, it is like being on yearbook staff all over again.

Decorating elements....

Here is some of the design elements I have in mind, hopefully my better half likes them as much as I do. We already own the sectional, so I am trying to build around that....the bottom left corner is a Robert Allen fabric I'd like to use for roman shades, and the right corner is a Surya rug I have in mind for the front entry. The floors are the exact wood we are using from Lumber Liquidators.
